Welcome to my practice!

You are taking a very important step in seeking support for yourself, your partner, or your family. In helping you to make this decision, I will describe my approach to the counseling process to determine whether my style feels like a fit for you.

My primary aim is to offer a safe, supportive environment for you to explore and address your personal concerns. I know that coming to counseling can be a difficult decision but I also believe that it takes more courage to face one's problems than to avoid them.  I have a practical, down-to-earth approach, seeking to identify, address, and resolve areas of conflict and obstacles in your life. I am there to support you through the process of self-discovery - to look at problems from another perspective and to help you find what is true for you, discover your authentic voice, and explore options to resolve your conflicts.

I urge you to contact several therapists before you decide as the counseling relationship has to be a really "good fit."  We each bring our own style into the room and you will do best to find the therapist that resonates best for you.  I would look forward to talking with you to answer questions you may have about counseling and how I work and to see if I would be the right person to offer counseling services to you.
